Am Chua Festival is a long-standing tradition for residents of the province and people across the country. As the opening event for the "Mother Goddess" (Mau) festivals in the third lunar month, it is held at the Am Chua National Relic. This site is closely linked to the legend of Holy Mother Thien Y A Na, enshrined in the local saying: "Am Chua reveals the human, Po Nagar Temple reveals the saint."
Over the years, with community contributions and government support, the relic site has been restored and protected, attracting significant interest from pilgrims and visitors.
This year's festival takes place from April 17th to 19th (March 1st to 3rd of the Lunar Calendar), featuring traditional rites such as:
The Traditional Ritual Ceremony (Te co truyen).
Incense Offering Ceremony.
Hau Dong (Mediumship) performances including Hat Van (spiritual singing) and Mua Bong (dance of the shadows) by pilgrimage delegations from across the country.
The organizing committee has registered over 150 delegations. During the three-day event, approximately 20,000 visitors and pilgrims are estimated to attend. To ensure security, local authorities have coordinated with functional agencies to implement plans for public order, traffic safety, and food hygiene.
